is true love a myth?

In my adolescent years,
I met a boy,
He was no toy,
He made me squeaky clean
And lean,
He made listen instead of speak,
We would sit for hours,
Discuss on all sorts,
Love I thought it was,
Now I’m not too sure,
But for him I took up fashion,
Discovered my inner passion,
For hours I wouldn’t eat,
Yet I would sit,
Smile and seem fit,
I didn’t want to jinx it
Young I was, but not a fool I’m sure
Yet somehow the moods,
Got sour,
I can’t tell the hour, yet this hour
I ask, someone please answer
Is true love a myth?
I have moved on,
So many times,
Made so many ties,
Sold lies,
Accepted lies,
Discovered different styles of severing ties,
I’ve climbed several mountains,
Danced in several valleys,
Stood still in several rivers,
Yet here I am still
No clue to what went wrong,
Here I am with no insights,
Or pretty advice,
Here I am standing still
On this face book hill
Asking you is true love a myth?
Answer me now my friends
I’m at wit ends
I must warn you (I need proof!!)
